Joseph Earnwile in the Land of Plenty
A downloadable game for Windows
Welcome to the world of Joseph Earnwile.
From here on a lot of stuff will be on the 18+ side of things. Proceed at your own risk.
The plot:
After a successful trip to Japan which led to another book being published, Joseph set his sight on the land own under to study one of the many aboriginal tribes living in Australia's sweltering outback. The tribe quickly accepts him as one of their own, and invites him to take part in one of their rituals. That is where things very quickly goes very very wrong, and now Joseph finds himself stuck in a world between the waking and dreams: the Dreamtime. Here he meets the wicked Lumaluma: a has been god shunned by both the people and the other gods for her eating habits, and with her help he starts to slowly make his way back to the real world, back to his own body and back to his wife and child.

- Joseph is in a trance, transcending this plane, and entering another.

- The veil grows thin, and those in the Dreaming can influence those in the real world.
- Escaping the Dreaming may be harder, and take longer than Joe would like it to.

Just so it is out of the way:
This is a text-adventure game that uses AI art and soundeffects to spice things up just that little bit. I have tried to get the UI down to a level where most people with a more modern sensibility would still enjoy it. I feel like the simplicity of this game genre is supremely well-suited to the exploration and storytelling experiences I want to share with my audience. Making you want to see, interact with and touch everything just to see what may happen is one of the things I take pride in with my work. The genre also lets me tell the stories I want to tell without having the raw machinepower to do 3D renders and polygonal three dimensional worlds. I hope you guys will give it a try, and if you decide this game may not be for you, then maybe I'll see you again at a later time when I get to another project up and running.
A thank you:

I can't make the powder anymore.
Than you for the report. I'll look into it :-)
All the mixes that worked previously still seems to work just fine when I test them. two blue and a red still makes violet when I pour them into the mortar and use it
If i try to use the mortar i don't get results and the powder is not removed,
That is what the empty command is for. Both the use and the empty command works when I test on my end. Would love to know more about what happens when you try making the powder
I can't figure out the ritual. I'm sure I've got everything for it except possibly dancers. Or is it just too early days?
Did you use purple or violet powder?
Also: did you get the didgeridoo player to move?
he’s in the ritual cave. And I used purple powder. I think. Is that where I’ve gone wrong?
You need violet
ah thanks. I was assuming synonyms made violet and purple the same.
Violet is defined to be more blue on the rgb color code chart :-)
