Shitty Mart Inc. 0.1

A small update after the first 24 hours of development. As the theme was two button control, my games kind of already works with that theme. Left mouse button to do most things, spacebar as an alternative to pressing continue. As such I decided to make the two button thing a little more direct. In the game you play as a Quality Control Officer at a robot factory. Your job is to check out the robots and then reject or accept them based on certain criteria, giving you two buttons to work with while doing your job, while still only using two buttons to control it all.

The idea came from watching someone playing papers please, and mixing it with both my regular style of games and the ideas from my Blinky games.

Included in this update:

  • The full map.
  • Some character's and placeholders.
  • Most of the items that will be used in game.
  • An energy system, remember to keep you energy up. No sleeping on the job!
  • A day system.
  • The first of three lines of robots you will have to do quality control for.
  • A system for doing your job, which rewards thoroughness, and punishes sloppiness.
  • A first end of day screen.

Planned features:

  • Seven days of gameplay.
  • Office romance.
  • Giving the receptionist treats.
  • A little more exploration and some hidden lore.
  • Adding the two other lines to the quality control so you have more to check each day.
  • Two more robot manuals to go along with the production lines.

I dont understand - why am I dying of exhaustion. All I did was look at 3 lockers and walk back and forth and that insta kills me??

Also, the red is... painful to the eyes. Please enable a night mode with a darker background, even WHITE would be less stinging.

You need to manage your energy. Take a trip to the brake room every once in a while.

But i can't see my energy, and I'm dying on my way from the cashier to the breakroom, before even doing anything
