A lot of thinking has been going on.

After having tried to get back into the swing of things for quite a while, I have decided that I will be leaving the erotic game industry.

I love making games, but this is a very niche market. While you guys on here are mostly lovely people and the best to make games for, there are unfortunately other places where the work has not been as appreciated as I hoped. As such I have decided to start up a new little studio for myself, and focus on making non-art reliant games for a more main-stream audience.

There will still be a lot of text-adventure games, but this way I can focus in on my writing, world building, graphic design and mechanics (which are the parts I actually like creating). This way I can keep doing what I love, reach a bigger audience and at the same time completely remove my reliance on AI art (which combined with personal loss was what caused me to go into a spin in the first place.) This decision seems to be more or less permanent, and unfortunately that means the rest of my game series may not ever be finished.

I will be closing down my patreon later this month. It will not bill anyone. The reddit will go down as well. I am unsure what to do with the discord or the games I already made/finished. I will make a decision on those at a later date.

Best wishes: WeirdoBeardo89

Hey man. Sorry you've been going through some rough times. My advice: do what you said you will, pursue the projects and opportunities for personal development that call out to you right now but leave the door open to maybe come back to your roots one day. It may be that you never do wanna come back to the fetish scene and that's fine but it also might be that 2 or 3 or 5 or 10 years down the line, you've picked up some new skills that you feel like bringing home to show to the old community and, if that day does come, we'll be excited to see what you can do. Take care of yourself.
